My newest fashion find!

Hi!

I very recently bought this Betsey Johnson pearl tie. It is SO cute because it has different shaped and patterned bows (even a bow with black rhinestones), and a gold, really detailed mouse! I fell in love the first time I saw it, which was almost a year and a half ago.

I saw it in a big glass case at Macy’s with the other Betsey Johnson jewelry, looking fabulous. But sadly, I could not let myself spend $125 dollars on it. That has totally changed now I’m much more into fashion. I had been looking for it on sale for six months but, unfortunately, I could not find it. I went on eBay.com to find some good deals on Betsey Johnson jewelry. Then I saw it, a masterpiece of art and creativity. I immediately fell in love again! And it was only $79.99! I know it was a little on the pricey side, but I just thought, “What the heck.” It was and is probably the only one on sale now (but I will let you know as soon as I can if I find one again.) But, on a lighter note, it goes with pretty much EVERYTHING in my closet. Plus I have a slim, pearl bracelet with a gold “Hope” word in the middle (only $2.50). It is one of my best deals, I must say!

Another thing about this tie is that it goes with my pastel blazer that I will post a picture of soon. This particular tie has some hot pink rhinestones on it. So adorable! Betsey Johnson  also made a Paris-themed pearl tie about a year ago, and I will try my best to find and link to that one as well. It’s also super cute!

I will post a picture of me wearing this pearl tie really soon! Oh, and instead of a collar, it has a slightly big gold chain with black ribbon woven though it. I think that is really classy and a little dressy.

I would really recommend this tie, and the Paris-themed one, to be layered under a classic shirt, preferably a button down, collared shirt, with or without a blazer. I recommend wearing it over a solid colored dress with no detailing. A black dress would be the ultimate. So chic and cool. Love it!

Here is a picture from my Instagram account and a picture I took of it:

My favorite websites for clothes & a coupon I got from Hollister!

Hi!

I will admit, I can be a Hollister and Abercrombie addict from time to time. Ok, actually a lot. I often go on their website because they almost always are having a sale. I shop clearance all the time, because I always am looking for an amazing trendy steal! I actually went to the Hollister website today not knowing about this 30% off of your entire purchase coupon! How great is that? I think I will be doing some shopping soon! Unfortunately, it is only eligible from May 17th to the May 29th, 2012. What a spoiler. I was so looking forward to using it!

I was actually looking today at some fantastic jewelry and a couple tops and skirts online from Forever 21. I wanted some mint colored, pearl detail, and pastel colored jewelry (which I highly recommend shopping there for that). I will leave a link to their website at the end of this post!

I was also checking out Abercrombie & Fitch online today (kind of my guilty pleasure) to see what was on sale there, too. I love Abercrombie’s clothes SO much! Some of their clothes are preppy, girly (exactly what I was looking for), and with a little sparkle. A lot of skirts (from the sale) caught me eye, especially a really pretty white lace one with blue seersucker fabric underneath! How cute would that be? Very! I will post the link to this item as well at the bottom of this post!

I shop on a budget everywhere I go. I think it’s better to go to many different places to buy things, because there is trendy stuff everywhere I know of. Of course except for really adult shops, but I actually like Loft quite a lot. I really like some of their belts. I actually got a champagne colored, linen bow belt last year. The linen is woven between an interesting, silver chain! It’s such a girly girl style yet has a little bit of edge that I like. I wear that style a lot. I think it fits my personality! I also really like bohemian style things, but that’s besides the point. (lol)

I bought a beaded boho (short for bohemian) style bracelet from Forever 21 last summer, and it’s so right for some of the trends this year! They actually still sell the exact same one! I will link the URL to it and Loft at the bottom of this post!

I think it’s so interesting for teens to find amazing on-trend items that are so much less than the original price yet very good quality! In an upcoming post, I will show you the best deals I have ever gotten! I’m so excited!

Please share a comment on this post about your favorite websites to find discount, trendy items. Maybe I will talk about it and link to it on a post soon!

I love all of my amazing readers so much! Good luck, fashionistas!

xx,

Lauren

Transitioning Seasons (Spring to Summer)

Transitioning from Spring to Summer (to be continued)

Right at this moment it is Spring, but it’s May already which means June is coming full speed ahead. What I’m trying to say is that it’s time to think about getting ready for summer 2012. Let’s get started!

  • Enjoy yourself in the bright sun and warm weather! The overcast weather in the fall and winter can be depressing, but spring and summer are delightful! The sun is out, the air is fresh, and the warmth is so refreshing. I LOVE IT!

Here is a picture of my model, Valerie, enjoying the sun:

She is wearing a printed t-shirt and jean short shorts in this photo. Loving it Valerie!

  • The next thing I want to talk about is bathing suits. They can be cute or they can be a little sleazy. I wouldn’t recommend that style. I’m not hating, it’s just my opinion! :)

There is a big trend right now for bikinis which is retro! (If you want to see it, go to this website: http://www.modcloth.com/) They have great styles! They are a little pricey though, but I think it’s worth it. Now back to talking about bikini trends. If you are feeling wild, then I recommend wearing an animal print or tribal embroidered one. They are so adorable! If you are more of a girly girl, then I think you should wear a striped, bow printed, embroidered, or a sequined bikini. So cute and girly! If your style is in-between, then you should consider wearing a solid color that’s either bold colored, bright colored, or a matte finish. That will probably work on everyone.

I always try on a lot of bathing suits when I’m trying to find one that I love. That’s a good idea, because sometimes it’s hard to find the right fit. It’s always easier that way!

Here is my model Sara wearing her favorite bikini:

She is also wearing a white ribbon in her hair, and that makes it extra cute!

Blush

Blush, an amazing, feminine color.

The color, blush, can go with many things such as pastels. I absolutly LOVE pastels and this color, when I paired them together, I was pleasently supprised! It’s such a girly color that is wearable, too. It could be clothing, shoes, a purse, wallet, ect.

I chose to use the color as a wallet that I bought at my local Coach Outlet Store. It goes with many of my purses which is a HUGE plus for me! It’s such a good break from the typical black colored wallet. I also like it because it doesn’t have the the Coach logo pattern covering the whole thing, only the silver clasp. It also has a little shine to it that makes it fun! So loving it!

This is a picture of it which I paired with pastels:

If you are wondering, my nail polish is from Revlon in the color Lilac. I bought it at ULTA.

Have fun pairing the color, blush, fashionistas!

Pastel & Mint Shoes

OH MY GOSH! The new trends are pastel and mint-colored shoes! Like the Pastel in Paradise post on this Style Blog, the colors are sweet and candy-like. I suggest wearing the mint shoes with a pair of light-colored skinny jeans or skirt. The pastel shoes would look good with a cute, light-colored dress. So fabulous!

Here are the shoes I love:

These shoes will make heads turn (in a good way)! I love them and will be wearing them this spring! Will you? Check back here for my next entry and don’t forget to share and comment on this post!
